RICK SHONKWILER -- @rshonkwocc

Senior Minister (rshonkwiler@thewocc.com)

Rick is a proud graduate of Wabash College and received a Master of Divinity degree from Cincinnati Christian University. The Shonkwilers are the parents of four grown children--Hannah, Heidi, Jeanette and Grant; and very proud grandparents of Abigail.

Rick came to White Oak in November 2010 following a 12-year ministry to adults at the First Church of Christ in Burlington, KY. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Cincinnati Christian University and as Minister of Adult Education at WOCC from 1981-1997.

Rick enjoys watching the Amazing Race and NCIS. He likes eating at 5 Guys, Montgomery Inn or Smokey Bones (perhaps followed by his wife's oatmeal chocolate chip cookies or some Moose Tracks ice cream!). He and Nancy love to travel in the British Isles.

Josh was our student ministry intern before he returned from working with a church plant on the East Coast in February 2009 to lead worship & student ministry at our Ross Twp Campus. In January 2010 Josh began full-time responsibilities. In October 2010 he and April were married.

Becky Bennett came to White Oak in early 2007 after more than 18 years of ministry in Florida. And although she loves the sun and sand, her roots are embedded deep in Cincinnati.

Becky entered the ministry in 1981 after graduating from Cincinnati Christian University. She has served churches in Illinois, Ohio and Florida before coming to WOCC.

In her spare time Becky loves to read, garden, and go shopping for antiques. She likes Skyline, old movies and challenging her mother to a game of ping pong on Wii. Her dream is to open a Bed & Breakfast with her sister.

KYLE CANNON -- @kcannon85

Student Minister (kcannon@thewocc.com)

Kyle grew up in Bethel, Ohio and attended Cincinnati Christian University. He graduated with a degree in Student Ministry in May 2008 and joined the WOCC staff in September 2008. On June 19, 2010. Kyle married his lovely wife, Megan.

Kyle loves Skyline, Chipotle, Penn Station and cake! He likes action and comedy movies, watching the Office, Chuck, Community and the Mentalist. He listens to Hillsong, David Crowder, Need to Breathe and Anberlin and his favorite vacation spots are in Utah, San Diego and Seattle.

Roni Flischel and husband Tom have four college-age children and three lively dogs.

Roni graduated from Miami University with a degree in Math/Statistics, and worked in Information Systems for 9 years before leaving the workforce to raise her children. She loves to learn and is working toward an M.A. in Practical Ministries at Cincinnati Christian University.

When she’s not ministering at home or at church, Roni’s favorite pastime is choosing fun over work, which means you’ll usually find her reading a book, watching a movie, planning a vacation or playing a game with her family and friends. She loves NCIS, Chris Tomlin, Walt's Barbeque, Lord of the Rings and ANY kind of dessert!

LLOYD HAMILTON -- @LloydRHamilton

Worship Minister (lhamilton@thewocc.com)

Lloyd Hamilton has been the Minister of Worship & Music at WOCC since 1992. Music has been a major part of his life since high school where he played trombone in the Jazz Ensemble and Concert Bands and also sang and played bass in a folk trio at his church. He loves all kinds of music but has a particular fondness for jazz.

Lloyd and Kathie love to go to the mountains on vacation, eat at Olive Garden or Walts and watch movies. He's a fan of 24, Blue Bloods, Human Target and Modern Family. Dessert? Give him raspberry pie or strawberry shortcake any day!

Lloyd is a graduate of Ozark Christian College and has been involved in some aspect of ministry since that time, holding full-time ministries in Bethel, Ohio; Greenwood, Indiana and now Cincinnati. Lloyd has been married since 1974 to his high school sweetheart Kathie. They have raised two daughters: Liz and Kate, and are now the very proud grandparents of Iris and Asher.

Nathan Hinkle came to White Oak Christian Church as the student minister in 2002. He and his wife Denise have two young sons--Justin, born in 2005 and Peter, born in 2007. In 2009 they were blessed with a little girl--Sydney, In early 2008 Nathan was asked to become the Campus Pastor for WOCC’s first multi-site campus in Ross Township.

Nathan attended Cincinnati Christian University where he graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry in 2002. He loves Jesus Christ and knows that there is no greater joy than life in Him. He and Denise serve people in hopes of encouraging, loving, and teaching them to be more like Christ.

KAREN LYNCH -- @klynchwocc

Children's Minister (klynch@thewocc.com)

Karen Lynch migrated to Ohio to be our children’s minister in 1996. Before coming to Cincinnati she married Tom Lynch, had four children, and attended Florida Christian College. (Yes, in that order.)

Karen has a passion to reach kids and their families for Christ! She loves seeing changed lives both in the kids and their families and in the volunteers who work with them!

Her very favorite activity is spending time with her family including making frequent trips to Florida to spend time with her grandchildren, Gracey and Gavin.

Jeremy is a 2011 graduate of Cincinnati Christian University. Following a year-long internship with our student ministry, he became our 11:00 worship leader. Jeremy is a member of the contemporary Christian band, Carrollton. Listen for them on 93.3FM!

Christy and her husband Toby are the parents of four children and are active at the Ross Twp Campus. Christy was an active volunteer before joining the staff as the part-time children's director. In her "spare" time Christy is a substitute teacher.
