Each year, as a church, we seek out men to join our Elder Team. According to the Bible, Elders are responsible for the primary leadership and oversight of a church, the spiritual welfare of the congregation, and they commit to shepherd and lead with a vision for Jesus’s Church
During the next few weeks, White Oak partners may nominate, to the elders, men to serve on a three-year rotation as an elder of White Oak. The requirements are that these men be baptized followers of Jesus, | partners of White Oak for at least one year and meet the biblical qualifications for elders. The elders will then submit selected candidates to be affirmed by the congregation.
To nominate a man to be considered for the Elder Team, we ask White Oak partners to complete an online Nomination Form at thewocc.com/elders.
We encourage partners to nominate qualified men who you feel would serve our church and the Lord with responsibility, diligence and enthusiasm. Nominations are to be submitted on-line no later than July 10.
