The Bible is consistently the most controversial book in every generation. Yet, a very small percentage of the population actually reads the Bible for themselves. Instead, we choose to just trust (or don’t trust) what other people tell us about the Bible. Why is that? Are we scared to read it? Do we really think we know everything it has to say? What is the real reason why I don’t read the Bible?

We have many excuses. There’s no time; It’s too confusing; I don’t agree with everything I read or hear; I’m not sure it’s reliable; It’s impossible to do everything it says… and the list can go on and on. The fact is, for thousands of years people have seen and read the Bible as a collection of historical accounts and the very words of God. These words have put people on a path toward discovery which has altered the human existence. Just as God can be trusted to be true, right and good... His Word can be trusted, too.
