I broke AI a few weeks ago—okay, that might be a slight overstatement, but I did stump three different platforms in what I consider to be the easiest trivia category on planet Earth. Let me illustrate how it went…

I’m in a season where I’m doing a lot of premarital counseling. It’s been a while, so I’ve spent the last month refreshing myself on the content and preparing for these conversations.
What’s interesting is that it’s happening at the same time our church is in a series on relationships. It’s one of those moments where you can see God connecting dots.

My freshman year of college was rough. I grew up in Oxford, OH so it was an easy decision to live at home and attend Miami University just after high school. What I didn’t know was how different life was for a commuter college student from being a high school senior. I learned quickly. I worked three jobs in my freshman year while taking a full load of classes. Because I was a commuter (and not very sociable) I didn’t have many friends. I was lonely and didn’t have much time

Perhaps you’re referring to a promise made by your boss. Whatever the case may be, we are people who naturally doubt. We need to see the actionable evidence of something before we will put our complete trust in it.

I hate roller coasters. I always have. Growing up, when all of my friends were itching to go to King’s Island and ride all of the rides, I was afraid. I avoided going to amusement parks with my friends because I was embarrassed at my fear. (The first time I rode a coaster at King’s Island was to impress a girl I liked at the time. I was almost physically sick). Here’s the reality. I know that my fear was basically irrational.

Do you ever get to the end of a movie and immediately turn it off after the credits start rolling? I think that’s pretty normal. After we’ve sat through the entire story, seen the rise and fall in action, experienced the climax and resolution of the problem, then we’re ready to be done. However, have you ever noticed what some films do? They allow the credits to run for some time but then they toss in another brief scene. They show some new piece to the story after ...

Love That Goes to the Cross - Friday, April 3
John 19:16–30 (Click to access the full text.) On Good Friday, Jesus is crucified. He suffers, forgives, and entrusts Himself to the Father. His final words, “It is finished”, signal that the work of redemption is complete. This is a day of mourning and awe. The cross reveals the seriousness of sin and the depth of God’s love. Jesus bears what we could not, offering forgiveness, healing, and hope. We do not rush past this moment. We sit with the weight of love poured out and
