Serving with Joy: Reflections on our Mission Trip to Senegal

We are excited to share with you some highlights from our recent mission trip to Senegal. Our team consisted of Nathan Hinkle, Justin Hinkle, Tom Abercrombie, Brandon Gilbert, Shari Lane, Kurt Caudill and Kyle Cannon. Our purpose in going to Senegal was to share the love of Jesus , encourage our mission partners and serve the people of Senegal in practical ways.

One of the things that stood out to us was the warm hospitality of the people of Senegal. They welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family. We had the opportunity to visit several villages and share the gospel with the people there. Many were receptive to the message and some even gave their lives to Jesus.

We also had the opportunity to serve the people of Senegal in practical ways. We helped with a construction project at a local school, which was in need of repairs. We also distributed food and supplies to families in need. It was humbling to see the gratitude on their faces and to know that we were making a difference in their lives.

One of the most impactful moments of the trip was when we visited a local hospital. We had the opportunity to pray for the sick and share the hope that we have in Jesus. It was a powerful reminder that no matter where we are, we can share the love of Jesus with those around us.

As we reflect on our trip to Senegal, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Senegal and share the love of Jesus with them. We hope that this trip will inspire others to step out in faith and serve those in need.
