Kat Messerschmidt

Kat brings creativity, heart, and a whole lot of curiosity to everything she does—especially in Kids Ministry, where she’s passionate about helping families teach their children to walk daily with the Lord. Inspired by Deuteronomy 11:19, she sees her role as an extension of what God has called parents to do: talk about Him in the everyday moments of life.

Family: Kat and her husband Ben have been together for over 20 years. They have three daughters and one son—with a fourth daughter on the way. Their family homeschools, raises chickens, and tends to a giant garden.

Hobbies: Kat loves gardening, caring for her animals, and hiking around state and national parks—all while soaking in God’s creation (and maybe thinking about chem trails, the moon landing, or flat Earth theories).

Fun Fact: She’s a conspiracy theory enthusiast, and proudly so. Ask her about it—you might get a different perspective!

Favorite Scripture: Deuteronomy 11:19 – “Teach [God’s law] to your children, speaking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Kat sees this as a mission: to help families make faith a part of everyday life.

Kat’s heart is rooted in helping children grow in their love and knowledge of God—and she’s all in, whether in the classroom or the chicken coop.
