John 13:3–15; Luke 22:19–20 (Click to access the full text.)

On the night before His crucifixion, Jesus kneels to wash His disciples’ feet. Then He shares bread and wine, giving His followers a way to remember His sacrifice.

In humility, Jesus serves. In generosity, He gives Himself. The table and the towel together show the shape of Christian love: grounded in grace and expressed through service.

Holy Week invites us to receive Jesus’ love and to extend it to others. Communion is not only remembrance, it is formation.

Reflection Question: How might Jesus’ example of humility and service shape how you love others today?

Practice: Consider a simple act of service you can offer someone today, reflecting Christ’s love.
