John 14:15 (Click to access the full text.)
Obedience in the Christian life is not rooted in fear, but in love. Jesus connects obedience directly to relationship: “If you love me…”
We obey not to earn God’s favor, but because we are secure in it. Love changes what obedience feels like. It becomes a response rather than a requirement.
This season invites us to examine our motives. Are we following Jesus out of obligation, or out of love? True conviction grows from gratitude.
Reflection Question: How might love for Jesus reshape your understanding of obedience?
Practice: Thank Jesus today for one way He has shown His love to you.
Please use Saturday to catch up and further reflect on the devotions from this week. We invite you to join us Sunday morning for in person worship services. You can learn more at www.thewocc.com
