Mark 13:32–37 (Click to access the full text.)

As this journey moves toward Holy Week, Jesus invites His followers to watch and stay awake. Not in fear, but in expectancy. The story is moving toward Jerusalem, toward the cross, and toward resurrection but the disciples do not yet fully understand what is coming.

Jesus’ words remind us that faith is not passive waiting. It is attentive living. It is staying awake to what God is doing, even when we don’t fully grasp the outcome.

As we approach Holy Week, we stand on the edge of the story. We know what is coming - suffering, sacrifice, and resurrection - but we are invited to enter it again with fresh hearts. To watch. To listen. To be present.

This is a moment of holy anticipation.

Reflection Question: What does it look like for you to stay spiritually awake in this season?

Practice: Set aside a quiet moment today and ask, “God, what are You inviting me to notice as Holy Week approaches?"

Starting tomorrow afternoon, you’ll receive an additional message at 3:00 PM each day. These messages will include a short Holy Week Video from Nathan Hinkle, our Lead Pastor and are designed to walk you through the meaning and events of Holy Week.

You will continue to receive the regular 7:00 AM devotional Monday–Friday. We invite you to continue the habit you've built while expanding your preparation with these short afternoon videos.

Please use Saturday to catch up and further reflect on the devotions from this week. We invite you to join us Sunday morning for in person worship services. You can learn more at www.thewocc.com
