Matthew 26:14–16 (Click to access the full text.)

Judas agrees to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. This quiet decision marks a turning point in the story. Betrayal does not come with drama at first. It begins with small compromises and hidden calculations.

Holy Wednesday invites us to examine our own hearts. Where do we struggle with loyalty? Where do fear, greed, or self-preservation pull us away from faithfulness?

Yet even here, Jesus does not withdraw His love. He continues toward the cross, carrying both the faithfulness and failures of His followers.

Reflection Question: Where might God be inviting you to choose faithfulness over convenience?

Practice: Pray openly about areas where following Jesus feels costly and ask for courage to remain faithful.
