Hebrews 5:7–9 (Click to access the full text.)
Scripture tells us that Jesus learned obedience through suffering. This does not mean He was imperfect, but that He fully entered into the cost of faithfulness.
Obedience can be costly, not because God desires our pain, but because love in a broken world often requires sacrifice. The cross invites us to trust that obedience even when difficult.
God uses costly obedience to shape our hearts and deepen our dependence on Him.
Reflection Question: Where might obedience feel costly for you right now?
Prayer: God, give me courage to trust You when obedience is hard. Amen.
